Let me just say: Tandem Doughnuts are the ONLY GLUTEN-FREE (& VEGAN) DOUGHNUT you need in your life.
Tandem Doughnuts is a wholesale bakery operating out of Missoula, Montana that I stumbled upon while driving through Montana.
They sell to a variety of baked goods to coffee shops and grocery stores in Missoula and I pick up my goodies at The Good Food Store. They offer a variety of doughnut flavors including Blueberry, Coffee, Maple, Chocolate, and Lemon with some limited, specialty flavors offered on certain days. One of the most exciting things about this bakery is that their doughnuts and their sandwich bread are gluten-free, dairy free, egg free, and nut free. If you have food allergies or intolerances, you may understand that this is almost nothing short of a miracle. In fact, at first I wondered what was left that they could possibly made out of...air? Pretty much. The sweetest, lightest, dreamiest cloud of a cake donut you could imagine.
These are the kind of doughnuts that you just can't wait to eat and you have to sit on the tailgate of your car in the parking lot and eat one or two with your friend before you can leave the store. We are all lucky that the owners of Tandem Doughnuts have created these blissful pastries for us to enjoy... cue the drooling...
