Orcas Island is a part of the San Juan Islands off the coast of western Washington. Only a few hours outside Seattle to catch the ferry and spend the day (or longer) on this beautiful island. If you're traveling during peak summer months, be sure to reserve your spot on the ferry ahead of time. Traveling with a car is recommended as many of the hikes, restaurants, and activities are located in Eastsound, away from the ferry terminal once you reach the island.
I always hesitate to share my most favorite places publicly on the blog, so if you go to Orcas Island, tread lightly, joyfully, and intentionally, savoring and appreciating this special place in the most respectful way possible. Don't rush this one. It's magic.
Many of the shops and restaurants are located in Eastsound, which is a great area to walk around, picnic, and explore. I only took a day trip so I cannot speak to the lodging recommendations below personally, but just based on scouting the island for a day, these are the places I'd stay at in the future!

I really love how you framed the sailboat within the flowers. I think I might have to go and visit.
